Global threats and challenges require a strong global response." President Xi Jinping announced at the speech of UN 75th Anniversary Summit on September 21 .
Looking back on the past, the United Nations has gone through an extraordinary course of 75 years; facing the future, the development of the United Nations is expected. "What kind of United Nations does the world need? How should the United Nations play a role in the post-epidemic era?" In this regard, Xi Jinping made four suggestions.
1. Uphold justice-all countries work together to safeguard universal security, share the fruits of development, and master the destiny of the world together. "Mutual respect and equality between large and small countries are the requirements of the progress of the times and the first principle of the UN Charter."
2. Strictly enforce the rule of law-do not engage in exceptionalism, do not engage in double standards, and cannot distort international law.
3. Promote cooperation-replace conflict with dialogue, replace coercion with negotiation, replace zero-sum with win-win.
4. Focus on action-you can't sit and talk about the Tao, but start and act. You can't just prescribe a prescription without seeing the effect.
