What is a blow molding machine?

The blow molding machine is a kind of equipment for making plastic pellets into hollow containers by a blow molding process. At present, the more common types include: one-time hollow extrusion blow molding machine using PP and PE, and two moldings using PET, PC or PP. The injection-pull-blowing machine and the newly developed multi-layer hollow extrusion and stretch blow molding. At present, most of the blow molding machines are also two-step blow molding machines, that is, the plastic must be first made into a preform and then blown. Nowadays, the environmentally-friendly plastic of PET material is generally used.

Blowing machine production process

The tubular plastic type embryo obtained by extrusion or injection molding of the thermoplastic resin is heated (or heated to a softened state), placed in a split mold, and compressed air is introduced into the parison immediately after closing the mold to blow the plastic type embryo It is inflated and attached to the inner wall of the mold, and is cooled and released to obtain various hollow products.

Blowing machine requirements for refrigeration in production

- Cooling of the preform opening: During the preheating stage of the preform, the preform (embryo) is irradiated by an infrared high-temperature lamp, and the body of the blank (embryo) is heated and softened. In order to maintain the shape of the bottle, the preform (embryo) is not required. Heated, so a certain cooling device is required to cool it;

- Compressed air drying: clean and dry compressed air is required for blowing, and the chilled water provided by the industrial chiller can be used as a cold source to remove moisture from the compressed air;

- Mold cooling: The chiller can accurately control the mold temperature, absorb heat in time, reduce the temperature of the cavity quickly, accelerate the product to improve product quality and improve production efficiency; if it does not cool down in time, the product quality will be reduced: not full, uneven wall thickness , the color is not bright, can not be formed and other defects.

Normally, the same chiller can be used as a cooling source for compressed air drying and mold cooling.
