The China International Import Expo (CIIE), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, is the world’s first large-scale national-level exhibition with the theme of imports. It aims to firmly support trade liberalization and economic globalization and take the initiative Open the market to the world. The CIIE includes two parts: exhibition and forum. The exhibition is the National Trade and Investment Comprehensive Exhibition (referred to as the National Exhibition) and the Enterprise Business Exhibition (referred to as the Enterprise Exhibition), and the forum is the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum. The National Exhibition is an important content of this China International Import Expo. A total of 82 countries and 3 international organizations have set up 71 booths with an exhibition area of about 30,000 square meters. Each participating country will display its national image, economic and trade development achievements and characteristic superior products. . In the national exhibition, 12 countries of honor, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, South Africa, Egypt, Russia, Britain, Hungary, Germany, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico, have set up unique pavilions. As the host, China has set up a China Pavilion, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan exhibition areas.
With the new development concept of "innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing" as the main line, the China Pavilion will showcase the great achievements of China's reform and opening up and the new opportunities that China's development and joint construction of the "Belt and Road" will bring to the world. The enterprise exhibition is divided into 7 exhibition areas with an exhibition area of 270,000 square meters. More than 3,000 companies from more than 130 countries have signed contracts to participate in the exhibition.
